Large buttons help to beautifully fasten a wide scarf or turn it into a poncho wrap.

Buttons “fangs” are most often associated with a duffle coat, a warm short coat of a straight cut. However, these buttons, due to their large size, interesting shape and loops (most often leather), which are used for them, can become a decorative accent and a functional detail for other clothing models.

Here are three ideas on how to decorate and make a wide scarf more comfortable:

1. Poncho Cape

To get such a cape, a button and a buttonhole (or 2 buttons with loops) must be sewn on one of the long sides of the scarf, stepping the same distance from the middle.

2. A scarf on a fastener

This method makes it possible not to tie a wide volume scarf, but to fasten it on the shoulder, creating beautiful folds. The button here is sewn along the central line along the scarf closer to one of the ends, and the buttonhole - from the edge, at the opposite end.

3. Cape Scarf

For this method, the button must be sewn along the long side with the edge, departing slightly from one of the short sides of the scarf, and the loop in the corner on the same long side.
