It’s a little more difficult to sew such a canopy, but the result is impressive - it’s almost an awning, which can comfortably shelter a crib or chair from the light.
You will need:

- two types of fabric for a canopy;
- a plastic hoop;
- Velcro tape, it is also Velcro;
- sewing machine;
- threads;
- pins;
- scissors;
- cardboard and pencil for making a template.
1. Determine the desired length and width of the fabric for the main part of the canopy. The length will be equal to the length of your canopy plus allowances for hemming the bottom and seams. The width will be equal to the circumference of your hoop x 1.5 for drapery (if you want more magnificent folds, multiply the value of the circumference of the hoop by 2), plus allowances for seams. Cut out the part of the main part of the canopy.
2. Determine the length and width of the canopy trim strip. The length will be equal to the circumference of the hoop plus allowances for the seams, the width - as you wish (for example, about 30 cm). Cut out two details of blanks for the canopy strap.

3. Draw a template to create a zigzag edge of the canopy strap. To do this, divide the length of the bar (recall, it is equal to the length of the circumference of the hoop) divided by the number of zigzag corners you need. This will be the width of each corner. Draw a template on the cardboard similar to what you see in the photo, and cut it out. Then transfer the pattern to the fabric using the template.
4. Cut the corners on both parts of the canopy trim strip.

5. Lock one of the parts of the canopy strap in a circle with the face inward and pin with pins.

6. Attach the second part of the canopy strap to the first face to face so that the corners coincide, and pin with pins.

7. Backing 1 cm from the edge, stitch the details of the canopy strap on the side with zigzag cutouts.
8. Cut the protruding corners and make cuts on the inner corners so that after turning the edge looks neat.

9. Turn out the detail of the canopy strap, straighten the corners and iron.
10. Stitch the part on top.

11. Cut out the part of the loop for which the canopy will be suspended.

12. Fold the loop part in half with the front side inward and sew. Turn out a loop detail.
13. Fold the part in half, as shown in the photo, and iron.

14. Cut 8 triangles to form the top of the canopy. The formula for constructing triangles:
Width of triangle base = 1/8 hoop girth + seam allowances
The length of the triangle (from the middle of the base to the top) = ¾ of the diameter of the hoop
15. First sew 4 triangles on the sides. Then sew the other 4 as well.Before connecting both resulting canvases into a cone, tighten the loop to one of them, as shown in photo 15.

16. Now you can sew both canvases into a cone.

17. Lay out the finished cone on the work surface and lay the hoop on top. Trim the corners.

18. Assemble the main part of the canopy.
19. Fold the three parts - the main, the strips and the cone - in the sequence shown in the photo, and pin them with pins. Sew all parts on the machine.

20. Sew Velcro pieces to the canopy on the inside.
21. If your hoop does not match the color, you can dye it or wrap it with color tape or tape in color. It remains to attach the hoop to the canopy from the inside and hang the canopy by the loop.

Photo: andthismarinewife.com
- fabric for a canopy;
- a hoop;
- strong braid;

- scissors;
- glue for fabric.
1. Decide on the length and width of the canopy and cut out the part.

Photo: andthismarinewife.com
3. Wrap the pieces of braid around the hoop and glue the ends of each piece into a ring.
Photo: andthismarinewife.com
4. Turn up and process the lower and lateral edges of the canopy part - this can also be done using fabric glue.
Photo: andthismarinewife.com
5.Using the same glue, work on the upper edge of the canopy part, forming a drawstring where you can drag the braid.
Photo: andthismarinewife.com
6, Thread the cord into the rings from the braid on the hoop.
Photo: andthismarinewife.com
7. Gather the pieces of cord together and tie them into a knot.
Photo: andthismarinewife.com
8. Now put the canopy over the hoop as shown in the photo and tighten the braid.
