This type of cut is most often performed on the sleeves of blouses and shirts. The neck cut can also be processed.
For processing, we need a strip of fabric 2 times longer than the cut and 4 times wider than the finished grind. For soft, thin tissues, the strip (stitching) is cut according to the direction of the shared thread. For dense, thick materials, such as poplin or flannel, the strip is slanted.
Cut the sleeve along the cut line.
We lay the edges of the cut in a straight line and grind it to the facing with the front side to the front side close to the cut.
In this case, at the end of the cut, we lay a line almost at the cut.
Iron the seam allowances on the edge. We iron the other longitudinal cut of the facing to the wrong side, skirting the seam allowance.
Fold the hem twice with the wrong side inward and pin / snap to the seam of the grind. Sew the stitching manually or on the front side of the sleeve close to the seam, while gripping the inner half of the stitching.
At the upper end of the cut, we grind it at a slant, like a small tuck. Processing the cut of the sleeve by turning is ready. Next, you can process the cuff.
